e3 Gear
e3 Gear has been developed by outdoor enthusiasts representing avid rock climbers, boulderers, hikers, mountain bikers & adventure racers. Our strategy has been to draw on our own experience regarding the shortcomings of existing gear, to learn from other designs on the market and to develop units which not only provide better performance than similar items – but also plug gaps where no equivalent product exists.
We, like you the user, have used a lot of gear in lots of places. We’ve had tents blown down, lugged massive packs up never-ending passes, been rained on, been snowed on, been blown off our feet. We’ve had our share of misery, but the rewards are indescribable. Our great country is filled with awesome places to be. We have deserts, grasslands, forests and fynbos, mountains, canyons, beaches and plains. Why should your gear limit your horizons? We don’t pretend that our products are indestructible. Nature can be a harsh and taxing companion as our experience affirms. But we do hope that using our gear makes your and our experience in the outdoors a safer, more enjoyable one. After all, isn’t that what it’s all about.
E3 is a work in progress. We value the input from customers, we want to know what you think of our gear, where we can improve it, modify it, make it easier to use. We cannot carry out every modification relayed to us, but we can listen, learn and produce gear that just gets better.
You will notice that our products fall into four broad categories – accessories, pouches, backpacks and tents. The range is manufactured using superior materials & workmanship. Materials are drawn from leading suppliers such as Du Pont Cordura (fabrics), YKK (Zips), and Duraflex & ITW Nexus (buckles). In short, the best we could get our hands on.
